The most magical week of our lives. Watching the sun rise over Karnak from our balcony on the Soleil — there are no words. The team thought of everything, from anniversary champagne in the cabin to a private dinner on the sun deck on our last night. Hassan, our Egyptologist guide, brought 4000 years of history to life with stories rather than lectures.

Booked the Movenpick Royal Lily for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The kids loved the pool, we loved the spa, and the Egyptologist made the temples come alive for the whole family. The à-la-carte dining (no buffet at dinner) was a pleasant surprise — and the food was excellent.
Honest review: we got the 5-star experience at the 4-star price. Cabins are smaller and the food is buffet-style, but the temples, the guide, and the actual cruise experience are identical. Saved $2000 vs the luxury ship and barely noticed.
We booked the Soleil for our honeymoon and it was beyond magical. The French balcony cabin was perfect for sunset wine, the food was world-class, and the staff treated us like royalty. Worth every penny.
