The most magical week of our lives. Watching the sun rise over Karnak from our balcony on the Soleil — there are no words. The team thought of everything, from anniversary champagne in the cabin to a private dinner on the sun deck on our…
We've cruised the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Mekong. Nothing comes close to the Nile aboard the Soleil. The Egyptologist guide, the dining, the temple visits — everything operated at a level we didn't expect on a river cruise. Already planning our return for the 7-night…
As a solo traveler, I was nervous about a cruise. Aswan Luxor Cruises and the Soleil team made me feel taken care of every single day. The Egyptologist became a friend by Day 2. The pool deck at sunset was the most peaceful moment of…
The Soleil exceeded every expectation. Magdy and his team handled every detail flawlessly — from airport pickup to the cruise to Abu Simbel. The cabin was spacious, the food incredible, and our guide knew every story behind every hieroglyph.
Booked the Movenpick Royal Lily for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The kids loved the pool, we loved the spa, and the Egyptologist made the temples come alive for the whole family. The à-la-carte dining (no buffet at dinner) was a pleasant…
Honest review: we got the 5-star experience at the 4-star price. Cabins are smaller and the food is buffet-style, but the temples, the guide, and the actual cruise experience are identical. Saved $2000 vs the luxury ship and barely noticed.
The Nile cruise season runs year-round, but each period offers a distinct experience:
Most travelers prefer the November–March window for the ideal balance of weather, atmosphere and value.
Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival ($25 USD) or apply for an e-Visa online before traveling. Always check the latest requirements for your country at your nearest Egyptian embassy.
Three meals daily, served as open buffets with international and authentic Egyptian cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements accommodated with advance notice.

Standard cruises run 3 nights (Aswan to Luxor) or 4 nights (Luxor to Aswan). Round trips are 7 nights. Dahabiya sailings are typically 4–7 nights.
Dahabiyas are small sailing vessels (8–16 guests), modeled on traditional Nile sailing ships. They access remote temples that large cruises cannot reach. Slower, more intimate, all-inclusive — typically 4–7 nights from Esna or Aswan.
Cairo International (CAI) is the main hub. From Cairo, you can fly to Luxor (LXR) or Aswan (ASW) for cruise embarkation — about 1 hour each. We arrange domestic flights as part of your package.
Smart-casual throughout the cruise. During the day, comfortable resort attire is perfect. For evening dinners, smart-casual is recommended (no shorts in the main restaurant). For temple visits, modest clothing covering shoulders and knees is required.
Every package can be customized to your dates, group size, budget, and preferences. Or we can build a completely custom Egypt itinerary from scratch — no obligation, just possibilities.
