These terms apply to every trip booked through aswanluxorcruises.com, a site run by
Aswan Luxor Cruises, operated by Egypt Planners — a licensed
Egyptian tour operator, Egyptian Ministry of Commerce registration No. 256841 — of
Giza, Egypt (“we”, “us”). By confirming a booking you accept them. Nothing on this page replaces
rights you have under the law that applies to you.
What we are
We plan and sell Nile cruises, dahabiya sailings and Egypt tours. The ships,
dahabiyas and hotels are owned and run by their own operators; we contract them on your
behalf, inspect them, and stay responsible for the arrangements we sell you. Our own
guides and drivers are ours.
Quotes and prices
Every price on this site is per person in US dollars, two people sharing a
cabin or room, unless the page says otherwise. Prices on the site are starting
rates: the price that counts is the one in your written quote, which lists every
inclusion and exclusion for your dates.
A quote is valid for the dates and the ship it names, and only while that cabin is
still unsold. We do not hold anything until a booking is confirmed, and we will not
quote a rate we have not confirmed with the operator.
Children sharing with two adults travel free up to the age of five
and at half price from six to eleven. A traveler on their own pays the
single rate shown on the ship’s or trip’s own rate table.
Booking and payment
No payment is ever taken on this website. There is no checkout and
no card field. When you accept a quote we send a secure card link or bank-transfer
details.
- A booking is confirmed when we have received the 40% deposit and
sent you a confirmation. - The balance is due 30 days before arrival. For a booking made
inside 30 days, the full amount is due at confirmation. - Until the deposit reaches us, nothing is held and the price can change.
Changing or canceling
You may change your dates, your ship or your hotel level free of charge up to
45 days before arrival — 60 days for arrivals between December 20 and
January 5 and in Easter week — subject to the new dates being available at the price
quoted. Inside that window a change is treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
Cancellation charges, and what happens if we have to change something, are set out
in full in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part
of these terms.
Your passport, visa and insurance
- A valid passport, and any visa you need, are yours to arrange. Most nationalities
can buy an Egyptian tourist visa on arrival for about US$30; we will
tell you what we know about your nationality, but we cannot be responsible for a border
decision. - Travel insurance is not included and is your responsibility. We
strongly recommend a policy that covers medical treatment, cancellation and
repatriation. We are not liable for a loss that insurance would have covered. - Tell us at the time of booking about anything that affects your trip — reduced
mobility, a medical condition, a dietary requirement, an allergy. Most ships have no
elevator, and some sites involve stairs and uneven ground; we will say plainly what is
suitable.
On board and on tour
Cabin and room allocations are made by the operator. A ship’s published program is
the intended one: the river, the lock at Esna, water levels, weather, and the
authorities’ own decisions can change a sailing time or the order of a visit. Where that
happens we arrange the nearest equivalent at no extra cost, and a change of this kind is
not a reason for a refund. If a site is closed on the day, we substitute another of
similar interest.
You are responsible for your own behavior on board. An operator may refuse to carry
a passenger whose behavior endangers or seriously disturbs others, and no refund is due
in that case.
What is and is not in the price
Every ship, dahabiya, itinerary and package page on this site lists what its price
includes and excludes, and your written quote repeats it for your dates. Unless a page
says otherwise, tips, drinks, optional excursions, international flights and personal
spending are not included.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for arranging the services you book with us with reasonable skill
and care, and for the acts of the operators and guides we contract on your behalf. We
are not responsible for anything outside our reasonable control — weather, river
conditions, strikes, civil unrest, border and airport decisions, airline delays or
schedule changes, or an illness that is not caused by our arrangements — nor for
anything you book directly with someone else. Our liability for any claim is limited to
the amount you have paid us for the arrangement in question, except where the law does
not allow a limit, and we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused
by our negligence.
If something goes wrong
Tell your guide or the ship’s manager at the time, so it can be put right while you
are still there, and message us on WhatsApp — we answer within two hours in office
hours. If you are still unhappy, write to
inquire@aswanluxorcruises.com within
28 days of coming home with your booking reference and what happened, and we will reply
in writing.
Photographs and content
The text, photographs, prices and comparisons on this site are ours or are used with
permission, and may not be copied or republished without our written agreement. Ship
photographs are supplied by the operators and show that ship, not a cabin category you
are guaranteed.
Your data
What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our
Privacy Policy.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and any dispute will be
heard by the courts of Cairo. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any right
you have under the law of the country you live in. If any part of these terms is found
unenforceable, the rest stands.
