Overview

Why travellers choose the Sonesta Nile Goddess

The ship

Nile Goddess was Sonesta’s first ship on the Nile, launched in 1989 and refurbished in 2002. It carries up to 106 guests, and it is the least expensive way into our Luxury category — the lowest starting price of any ship in it.

Cabins

All 53 cabins face the river and sit on three of the five decks: 47 Deluxe cabins of about 20 m², 2 Senator Suites of about 30 m² with a sofa bed that sleeps a third guest, and 4 Presidential Suites with a private terrace. Every one has a bathtub, which is unusual on a Nile ship.

Life on board

The ship opens around a large atrium. Breakfast and lunch are buffets and dinner is à la carte. The sun deck has a bar, a barbecue area and a splash pool, and there is a spa with a sauna, massage room, whirlpool and gym. Evenings bring belly dancing and folk shows in the lounge. There is no lift.
