MS Alexander the Great
An intimate 30-cabin Luxury cruiser (refurbished 2023)
MS Alexander the Great is the smallest Luxury ship we sell: 30 cabins on four decks, every one facing the river and fitted with a bathtub. Built in 1982 and refurbished in 2023, it has a pool with a jacuzzi and a spa. It sails 3 nights Aswan to Luxor and 4 nights Luxor to Aswan. From $850 per person.
Why travellers choose the MS Alexander the Great
The ship
With just 30 cabins, MS Alexander the Great is the smallest ship in our Luxury category, so there are fewer guests on board than on any other ship in it. The hull was built in 1982 and the ship was refurbished in 2023. There is no lift across its four decks, so it suits guests who are comfortable on stairs.
Cabins
Every cabin faces outward onto the river and is roomy for a Nile ship, at about 25 m², with a seating area, a bathtub, bathrobes, a hairdryer, natural toiletries, a minibar, satellite TV and a safe.
Life on board
The two upper decks carry the pool with its jacuzzi and a long crescent-shaped bar. Below are a lounge bar, the Red Fiesta restaurant, a spa with massage on deck, fitness equipment, an internet room, a gift shop and laundry service.
