Moon Goddess is Sonesta’s balcony ship. Built in 2000 and about 72 metres long, it carries up to 106 guests with a crew of 50, and almost every cabin opens onto the river through its own sliding door.
Forty-nine cabins have sliding glass doors onto a private balcony, and four Presidential Suites add a private lounge. Every cabin has individual climate control, a minibar, a telephone, a safe, a hairdryer, a TV and a bathroom with a bathtub.
The sun deck carries an oversize pool with a shallow end and a jacuzzi. Below is a spa and wellness centre with a gym, massage, a sauna and a steam bath. Breakfast and lunch are buffets and dinner is served à la carte; in the evening there is a disco, belly dancing and Nubian folk shows. There is no lift.
