Steigenberger Minerva is a Luxury-class Nile cruise ship with 77 cabins — the most of any Luxury ship we sell — on five decks. It sails 3 nights Aswan to Luxor (Monday and Friday) and 4 nights Luxor to Aswan (Saturday and Tuesday). Cabins are about 205 sq ft (19 m²), most with a French balcony, and there is no elevator. Steigenberger Minerva is the largest ship in our Luxury category: 77 cabins over five decks, run under the Steigenberger name. The size is the point — a long sun deck with a pool and pool bar, a gym with modern equipment, and room to find a quiet corner even on a full sailing. What it gives up is intimacy: more guests than on the small Luxury boats, and decks linked by stairs only, with no elevator. It suits travelers who want the classic Aswan–Luxor circuit with a bigger ship’s facilities and don’t mind stairs.
Most are doubles of about 205 sq ft (19 m²) — a touch under the 215–237 sq ft (20–22 m²) most ships we sell offer — with a shower, air-conditioning, satellite TV, a fridge and a safe. Cabins on decks 2, 3 and 4 have French balconies: floor-to-ceiling glass that slides open onto the river. Cabins on the lowest deck have windows instead, so ask us for an upper deck. There are also 2 single cabins of about 172 sq ft (16 m²) and 2 suites of about 420 sq ft (39 m²).
The sun deck carries the pool and its bar. Below are the gym, a lounge and bar, a spa and beauty salon, a small shop and a conference room. Meals are full board in the main restaurant, whose cooking leans Middle Eastern.

From $850 per person sharing a double for 3 nights in the low season (May to August), and from $1,200 in the high season (September to April). 4 nights starts at $1,050. Christmas, New Year and Easter are priced separately.
